Tuna salad recipes?

I like tuna but I'm tire of the same way I prepare it


I always use





Mayonnaise


Lemons


salt


Pepper


Tomatoes


and some tabasco





tell me your way of preparing tunaTuna salad recipes?
Coat tuna with olive oil. Add chopped green onions, green olives with pimiento, Salt and pepper. Serve on bed of lettuce or in pita or on crackers or just eat by itself.Tuna salad recipes?
Tuna with balsamic onions and new potato, goats' cheese and rocket salad





Serves 1





Preparation time less than 30 mins





Cooking time 10 to 30 mins





Ingredients


For the tuna


200g/7oz tuna loin steak


dash olive oil


salt and freshly ground black pepper


squeeze lemon juice


For the balsamic onions


3 tbsp olive oil


1 red onion, finely chopped


150ml/5fl oz balsamic vinegar


salt and freshly ground black pepper


For the salad


85g/3oz new potatoes


salt and freshly ground black pepper


large handful rocket leaves


55g/2oz goats' cheese, crumbled


dash olive oil


extra virgin olive oil, to serve











Method


1. For the tuna, heat a griddle pan until smoking hot, rub the tuna steak with olive oil and season well with salt and freshly ground black pepper.


2. Griddle for 2-3 minutes on each side and then squeeze over the lemon juice at the end of cooking. Remove from the heat and keep warm.


3. For the balsamic onions, heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a frying pan, add the onions and fry over a gentle heat for five minutes, or until softened. Add the balsamic vinegar and cook over a gentle heat until reduced and syrupy. Add the rest of the olive oil and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Set aside to cool slightly.


4. For the salad, place the new potatoes into a pan of boiling salted water and cook for 15 minutes, or until tender. Drain. Slice the cooked potatoes.


5. In a small bowl mix together the rocket leaves, crumbled goats' cheese and cooked sliced potatoes.


6. To serve, pile the new potato, rocket and goats' cheese salad onto a serving plate, drizzle with olive oil and top with the griddled tuna. Spoon the balsamic onions over the top. Drizzle with a little extra virgin olive oil and serve.








Warm tuna Nicoise





Serves 2





Preparation time less than 30 mins





Cooking time less than 10 mins





Ingredients


For the dressing


1 tbsp Dijon mustard


30ml/1fl oz white wine vinegar


150ml/5fl oz olive oil


1 lemon, juice only


salt and freshly ground black pepper


For the salad


100g/3陆oz fine beans, cooked


2 handfuls fresh baby spinach


1 tbsp capers in vinegar, drained


100g/3陆oz new potatoes, cooked


12 cherry tomatoes, halved


2 fresh tuna steaks (about 200g each)


1 tbsp olive oil


salt and freshly ground black pepper


2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped


1 tsp fresh marjoram leaves











Method


1. For the dressing, whisk together the mustard, vinegar, olive oil, lemon juice, salt and freshly ground black pepper.


2. For the salad, put the dressing in a frying pan and warm over a low heat. Add the beans, spinach, capers, potatoes and tomatoes and toss them in the warm dressing. Remove from the heat.


3. Brush the tuna steaks with the olive oil and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Heat a griddle pan over a high heat. Cook the tuna steaks on the griddle for about 30 seconds on each side.


4. To serve, put the tuna steaks on top of the dressed vegetables and top with chopped egg and marjoram.
Tuna Salad Sandwich





Combine tuna, chopped onion, chopped hard boiled egg, diced dill pickles, miracle whip, and some pickle juice together and put the tuna mixture on toasted bread. Eat and enjoy.





My parents use the same recipe and will add one slice of tomato, lettuce and sometimes one slice of onion on top of the tuna mixture.

finely chopped carrot, celery, sweet onion (any will do)

I hate anything out of water but this way makes tuna palatable to me. I haven't found anyone who doesn't like it.

INGREDIENTS


1 (7 ounce) can solid white tuna packed in water, drained


1/4 cup creamy salad dressing (such as Miracle Whip鈩?


1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish, or to taste








DIRECTIONS


Mash tuna together with salad dressing and relish in a small bowl with a fork. Serve.

touch of pickle relish

shredded cheese if on hand.


touch of mustard
mix albacore tuna with regular tuna


mayo

parsley (fine chopped) or the dry kind


finely chopped celery


finely chopped red onions and white onions


one tablespoon of Extra virgin Olive Oil


a pinch of salt


Shreddred carrots


mix all together and chill
tuna fish, miracle whip, chopped hard cooked eggs, and chopped onions...whip it around chill it in the fridge for a while and i eat it on bread.
try taking out the tobasco and add some sliced jalapenoes.. adds that kick but no vinegar..





also you might add some sweet pickle relish

Well i put that stuff in it only with onions and little green peppers.
