Creamed Tuna

4 Tbls. Butter

4 Tbls. Flour

1 tsp. Salt

录 tsp. Pepper

2 C Milk

1 Can Tuna, drained (use 2 cans for a heartier dish)

1 C Frozen green peas

Melt butter of very low heat. Add flour, salt %26amp; pepper; stir until well blended. Remove from heat.

Gradually stir in milk and return to heat. Cook, stirring constantly until thick and smooth.

Add tuna and peas. Cook until heated through.

You can serve over toast as my Mom did or for a fancier twist serve over Puff Pastry Shells (you can find them in the freezer section, I like the Pepperidge Farms brand).

This is an old family favorite ~ the only way my Mom could get me to eat peas! I still love it!
MEXICAN CASSEROLE

1 16 oz container sour cream

1 8 oz pkg cream cheese

2 eggs

2 cans cream of chicken soup

1 large onion, chopped

1 small can olives, chopped

1 small can chopped green chiles

1 cup cooked chicken, tuna, or turkey, chopped

1 8 oz pkg Monterey Jack or Cheddar cheese, shredded

Mix together sour cream, cream cheese, eggs, cream of chicken soup, chopped onion, olives (optional), green chillies, chicken, tuna or turkey (add more than called for if desired).

Spread mixture evenly in a 9x13 pan glass or earthenware casserole dish.

Top with shredded cheese.

Cover and bake 1 hour 350 degrees. Can be frozen and cooked later or cooked and reheated.

A metal 9x13 pan takes longer to cook than a glass one, so bake it slightly longer if you use a metal pan.

Mixture should be set well when removed from oven.

Try my Pita Tuna Bread.

It's healthy, packed up with a lot of negative calories and has a little apple cider vinegar.

Ingredients:

1/2 can of tuna in water. Drain it well.

Two tablespoons of chopped celeries

Three slices of tomatoes

One pita bread (6 inches).

3 slices of cucumber

One teaspoon of apple cider vinegar

Two tablespoon of fat free Italian dressing

One green lettuce leaf (chop it well)

A pinch of chopped bell peppers

Salt, pepper and ketchup according to your preferences

Instructions:

Blend the tuna, bell peppers, dressing, apple vinegar and celeries in a bowl. Refrigerate overnight and keep the cucumber, lettuce and tomatoes separated from the tuna mix.

When serving just wrap the tuna mix in pita bread securely while inserting the lettuce, cucumber and tomatoes as well. You can add salt, pepper and ketchup to enhance the taste. This makes one serving.
Aah, tuna, the traditional student food...

- Apart from your usual tuna%26amp;sweetcorn mayo with jacket potato, or in a sandwich, try mixing it into pasta - adding frozen peas can also be good. A bit of cheese grated on top is also tasty.

- if you're not a fan of traditional tuna mayo, try adding lemon juice and plenty of black pepper - this makes it lighter, and for a bit of crunch, try chopped sweet peppers and spring onions. This also makes a good dip with tortilla chips and celery sticks.

- Mixed into white sauce with a splodge of tomato puree and some cayenne pepper, it makes a good pasta bake.

- Easy rice salad: Cook and cool some long-grain rice and a handful of frozen mixed veg, chop a red pepper and some spring onion, then mix with some tuna and a little dressing. Good for a picnic, or leave out the dressing and stuff into large tomatoes before chucking in the oven for a bit.

- Nicoise salad. Cook some green beans and refresh in cold water, hard boil 1 egg per person. Mix some salad leaves, toss in the beans and some black olives. Add dressing, anchovies if wished, canned tuna, and egg.
feed it to the cat hehe
Try it with mayo, dry mustard (sold in the spice aisle of the food store) and some sweet relish (like you use in hot dogs). I just found that receipe yesterday and it is good!
Tuna cakes (croquettes)

1 can tuna

1/1 tuna can of fresh breadcrumbs

2 t. finely chopped onion

2 t. finely chopped celery

1 t. mayo

1 egg, beaten

Dash Salt and Pepper

Dash hot pepper sauce (optional)

1 C. dry bread crumbs or cracker crumbs

Enough vegetable oil to coat bottom of large skillet

Mix first ingredients gently, form into small patties, dip in bread or cracker crumbs to coat........let sit 5-10 min. so crumbs adhere. Fry in vegetable oil 3-4 min until nicely browned, turn carefully (they are very fragile and break easily, so make small patties) fry on other side additional 2-3 min until golden brown. (You can bake these, too, at 325 for about 20 min)
can of tuna and lime or lemon juice salt pepper mayo pikles if u want tehm then stir add to sandwich or eat out of the bowl
Easy Tuna Casserole:

- In a casserole dish mix together a can of drained tuna, 1 cup of frozen mixed vegetables, salt and pepper to taste, and 1 can of condensed mushroom soup.

- Crumble crackers or potato chips over the mixture.

- Bake at 350 until the mixture is bubbling and hot throughout (about 20-30 minutes)

Tuna Noodle Casserole:

- Make Kraft Dinner

- Mix in a can of tuna (drained)

- Even out this mixture in a casserole dish

- Cover the top with shredded chedder cheese

- Bake in the oven at 350 until the cheese is melted and it's hot throughout
Add some mayo, celery, salt %26amp; pepper and then add some jalapeno pepper to it....you can also add some honey to your tuna recipe...doesn't sound that good, but, don't knock it 'till you try it.

I am going to try the spaghetti sauce - thanks!!
